First release of the flash card program for learning Malay words with Danish translations (the solution of day 31 of Udemy's 100 Days of Code).
What is in it
- The four assignment steps: a window with a card and two buttons, a random card on every press, the flip to the translation after 3 seconds, and saved progress.
- A choice of level before learning: the first 100 words, the first 1000 words or all words (
--level 100|1000|allskips the screen). - The spoken Malay word (needs a network connection;
--no-speechswitches it off). - README and a wiki in English, Danish and Bahasa Malaysia.
The Windows executable is not attached yet
The executable
flash-card.exe(about 26 MB, built from this tag with PyInstaller) could not be attached: the reverse proxy of this server rejects uploads larger than its limit (413 Request Entity Too Large). Until the limit is raised, build it from the source of this tag:python -m venv .venv .\.venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1 python -m pip install --upgrade pip python -m pip install -e ".[build,speech]" python tools/build_executable.pyThe result is
dist/flash-card.exe: one file, no console window, Python is not needed to run it. It is not signed, so Windows SmartScreen may warn about it. Progress is kept in adata/folder next to the file.Downloads
