+# Caesar Cipher – documentation
+
+Each letter is moved `shift` places through the alphabet:
+`new_position = (ALPHABET.index(letter) + shift) % 26`.
+The modulo keeps positions in range for shifts past `z`.
+Non-letters are left untouched and letter case is preserved.
